Just 15 miles south of Atlanta you’ll find Clayton County, Georgia – the Official Home of Gone With The Wind.  Join us on the Southern Belles & Whistles Tour in Jonesboro which brings to life a time of war, reconstruction, hospitality and true determination.

The tour includes the Road To Tara Museum and a mini-bus tour of Jonesboro. The mini-bus tour includes stops along the way at the following:

HIGHLIGHTS:

• The Road to Tara Museum: see Gone With The Wind costume gallery and reproductions, original movie props, an international library and unique and historic memorabilia, behind the scenes photos, along with many other rotating exhibits.

• The Old Jail / History Center: An exclusive guided tour inside the Old Jail! Take your photo in the cell of this original 1800s-era jail, which now houses the Clayton County History Center.

• The Patrick Cleburne Memorial Confederate Cemetery: walk beside the mass grave containing more than 600 fallen Confederate soldiers.

• The intersection of Rhett Butler and Scarlett Drive.

• Warren House.

• Stately Oaks Plantation: see the 1839 restored house museum, outbuildings and entire seven-acre Margaret Mitchell Memorial Park.

Southern Belles and Whistles Tour
January - December: Monday - Saturday at 11:00am

Attraction Schedule:

• Please Note: There are only two tour times for the Motorcoach Tour. Please check in 15-20 minutes prior at the Clayton County Vistor's Bureau to ensure your seat on the tour. Museum Admission can be used at your leisure.

• Landmarks History Motor Coach Tour:  Monday to Saturday - 11:00am and 1:00pm.  Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the tour time. 

• Road to Tara Museum: Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5:30pm and Saturday 10:00am - 4:00 pm.

Departure Point:

• Vouchers are to be redeemed at the Clayton County Convention & Visitors Bureau and Road To Tara Museum located at 104 N. Main Street, Jonesboro, GA 30236. Tour concludes at original departure point.

Your credit card will be charged the total amount of products and services selected at time of booking. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover Card.

Confirmation & Travel Voucher:

This tour must be booked at least 24 hours in advance of your travel date. Your confirmation for this product will be received within 12- 24 hours subject to availability. For every confirmed booking you will receive an e-mail with a link to your E-Ticket Voucher. Print vouchers on your home/ office printer. Please present this E-Ticket voucher at the Box Office. Only one voucher will be created per tour or activity for all travelers.

Cancellation and No Show Policy:

Cancellations within 24 hours of the tour are charged in full. Cancellations prior to 24 hours are charged a minimum $10.00 per person administration fee. We charge 100% for No Shows. If the tour is cancelled by the tour operator, the full ticket price will be refunded.

Supplier and Tourcorp assume no responsibility for delays caused by accidents, breakdown, weather, conditions of trails, roads, bays, oceans, rivers, airspace and any other conditions beyond control of Supplier, in addition to insufficient numbers of passengers.

Comfortable shoes, extra layer of warm clothing, hats, visors and sunglasses. Weather: Tour route or activity may be changed depending on local weather conditions. Gratuities and Souvenirs are not included.
